Since 1989, Au Pair USA has been one of the leading exchange programs in the country, popular with both host families and Au Pairs. Au Pairs are between the ages of 18 and 26 and come to the U.S. from all over the world to learn about American culture. Both the host family and the Au Pair benefit from this shared experience. Au Pair USA is authorized and regulated by the United States government.

What Is an Au Pair?
Au Pairs come to the U.S. on a 12-month J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa. They live as an extended member of their host family and provide up to 45 hours per week of child care in exchange for room, board, a small weekly stipend and up to $500 toward 6 credits at an accredited educational institution.

Au Pair USA provides a screening and qualification process, personalized matching, and orientation and training. Training topics include:

* Child Development for Newborns through Age 12
* Age Appropriate Activities
* Culture Shock
* Insurance, J-1 Visas and Program Regulations

An American Red Cross licensed instructor leads an all-day child health and safety program with health and safety lessons that include:

* First Aid, CPR and Rescue Breathing
* Accident Prevention Awareness
* Car, Fire, Toy, Indoor and Outdoor Safety
* Basic Child Healthcare

Au Pair USA also offers a Summer Au Pair Childcare program.
