Emerald Square Mall
I absolutely love the Emerald Square Mall. everytime i have been there, all of the cashiers and other people that work there have been more than pleasant. Also the food court, everytime that i have gone, has been clean. they clean the tables shortly after you leave. the bathrooms could improve, such as getting paper towels instead. an article i read a little while ago states that the hand blowers just blow more germs back onto your hands while the paper towels have never been used before. the escalators are working most of the time but i have seen them closed off or not working a few times. most of the stores are clean. there are a select few that arent some of the time which will only hurt the business in the end. i think that such stores as hollister, aeropostale, abercrombie and fitch, victorias secret, and some other stores could go down on prices. i dont know about anyone else but i cant afford to have only those name brands in my closet. the first floor is always loudest and craziest. probably because thats where the entrance is and also because of the many many vendors that are spread throughout the floor. so i do my best to get to the second floor and stay on the outside of the walkway far away from the vendors. i must tell you the nail salon on the first floor does a phenomenal job. just a little while ago i went to get a french tip and it was flawless. also hollister is ALWAYS clean and the clothing and shoes are folded or put away in the right place. this attracts more customers. the prices however might drive them away. all in all the emerald square mall deserves a four of 5 rating and i would definately shop there again. Gift Cards
I called Simon Mall head office in Indiana on December 23rd as I had inadvertantly bought my daughter a virtual card instead of a gift card. They told me to go to any mall and for a small fee the Mall Customer Service would change it over to a gift card. My daughter went to Customer Service this pm and was told very rudely that the Mall would not transfer her card. They refused to phone head office to find out if they could change it, and Kathleen Brandts the Customer Service 'OFFICIAL' as she was all of that and more, positively treated her as a criminal. I asked my daughter to get the Mall phone number so I could call. She refused to give her the CS phone number, so I had to look it up on line - hence I found this page to post my comments on! I will write to the Mall manager, but whatever you do, don't expect any help from Customer Service they are Mall Protectors not there for the customer!! I called South Shore Mall they said - sure tell her to come on by and we will change the card to a Gift card - THAT WAS EASY!!! - and without the rudenessExperience At The Mall
I haven't shopped the Emerald Square mall in quiet some time, but was some what happy with my experience. I actually went to meet a long time friend for lunch and arrived to find out that the only resturant they had was now-closed! we were bummed, but ended up doing some quick shopping before grabbing a bite on rt 1. This mall honestly has everything that I love , not only it's atmosphere, it is bright, and has a great carausel in the food court. It has speciality stores that I am looking for, like Lady footlocker, Rampage, and forever21. Now they just need a resturant so people can socialize and have fun.Mall Rating
Terrific Mall, 3 floors of stores. All clean and nicely placed. Food Court all at one end of the upper floor. Plenty of additional parking in the rear of the Mall.
The Vendors on the first floor can get annoying trying to sell their wares. And the staff at FYE can be rude. But the Mall is always a pleasant place to shop'SANTA'
Today, DECEMBER 12,2006 we looked forward to our annual visit to the mall with the children, who are now six and two years old.
We make a day of it after school. We shop and we do spend what you at the mall are looking for: $$$$$.
The visit to Santa and his team was highly disappointing.
We were the second family in line, with only one other family behind us.
It was not a matter of getting us in and out because of the crowd, as there was no one around. Last year we were in line when Santa had to go on break.
We found the Santa and his photographer were so cold and uncaring that we will never return. And we have a two year old that would see Santa for years. We did purchase photos, but we should have declined after our experience. Santa should be Santa, not a $$$ maker who is just plain cold. Santa and his team should called in sick. This sure was not Santa Claus and his helper.
Our children were well behaved by the way. And we were also.RELATED LINKS | ↑ top |
