Nahant Beach Reservation
Nahant reservation is open year-round, but summer is the time to visit and escape the heat. Enjoy swimming in the ocean, launch your boat, or sunbathe on the beach.You'll find ample parking and tons of space on the beach. More importantly, the sand is soft, the water is very shallow for a great distance, and there's a lifeguard.
A promenade extends along the two-mile length of the two reservations at the edge of Nahant Bay and is available year round for activities such as walking, jogging and bicycling.
A terrific hangout for families with young children. Toddlers will have a blast splashing in the little waves.
Ball fields, racquetball and tennis courts are available near Nahant Rotary. A tot lot is located near park headquarters at Ward Bathhouse where a visitor center, showers, and sanitary facilities are available free of charge.

MBTA: From Haymarket Station to Central Square, Lynn, take MBTA bus #400, 440, 441, 442, or commuter rail, or take Blue Line to Wonderland, bus #441 or 442 (Marblehead). From Central Square take bus #439 to the rotary near the bathhouse.
By Car:Lynnway (Rt. 1A) to Carroll Parkway to Nahant Rotary, then Nahant Causeway to Long Beach at Nahant Beach Reservation.

My day at Nahant Beach, Grade 3 Student
For the first time in while I finally used my boogie board in the water. The water was nice and warm, I was in there for I don't know how long. In between boogie boarding and snacking I made a little sand room with 3-d blocks.
