Cochituate State Park is a popular regional day park featuring water based activities including boating, swimming, windsurfing, and fishing on its three large lakes.
Picnicking, swimming, and boat launching are limited to the main area of the park on the middle lake and boaters can gain access to the other lakes through channels under roadways.
Enjoy sunning on the beach while the kids play in the lifeguarded water; toss the ball around or play frisbee in the wide open fields or set up some chairs in the shady wooded areas and take in the breeze.
Charcoal grills are available on a first come first served basis. Boaters can launch boats from the boat ramp and then park in the adjacent lot ($5 per day or $35 for a season's pass). Canoe, kayak & paddleboat rentals are also available.
