Opened on December 26, 1900, the Colonial has played host to many world premieres such as Porgy and Bess, Oklahoma!, La Cage Aux Folles, and many, many more.

NORTH:
Take I-95 to exit 46. Merge onto US-1S toward Boston. Take the exit toward Storrow Drive/North Station. Make a slight left onto MA-3N/Massachusetts. Make a slight right onto MA-28S/Charlesbank Road. Turn left at Beacon Street. Take the first right onto Arlington Street. Turn left on Boylston Street. The Colonial Theatre is located 1/2 a block up across from the Boston Common at 106 Boylston Street.

SOUTH:
Take Route 93 North to Exit 20. Continue straight onto Lincoln Street. Take a left onto Kneeland Street. Kneeland eventually turns into Stuart Street. At the 6th set of lights you will be forced to take a right onto Charles Street South. After making that right continue straight to the next light and make a right onto Boylston Street. The Colonial Theatre is located 1/2 a block up across from the Boston Common at 106 Boylston Street.

WEST:
Take the Mass Pike East (I90) to exit 24C for I-93 toward Quincy. Take exit 24A toward South Station. Keep left at the fork to continue toward Kneeland Street. Turn left at Kneeland Street. Make a slight left at Stuart Street. Turn right onto Charles Street. Make the first right onto Boylston Street. The Colonial Theatre is located 1/2 a block up across from the Boston Common at 106 Boylston Street.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
The Green Line and Orange Line of the 'T' both have stops near the Colonial Theatre.

GREEN LINE:
Take the Green Line to the Boylston stop. As you come out of the station you will be facing Boylston Street, and The Colonial Theatre is across the street slightly to your right.

ORANGE LINE:
Take the Orange Line to the Chinatown stop. Walk up Boylston Street (towards the China Trade Center). Cross Tremont Street and The Colonial Theatre is 1/2 a block down on your left opposite the Boston Common.

RED LINE:
Take the Red Line to the Park Street stop. Walk down Tremont Street to the corner of Boylston. Make a right and The Colonial Theater is located at 106 Boylston Street.

COMMUNTER RAIL:
If you are coming into South Station or North Station from the Commuter Rail you may travel to the theatre by foot (South Station only) or by subway.

NORTH STATION:
Take the Green Line (B, C, D, or E train heading Inbound) and follow directions from above.

SOUTH STATION: By MBTA-
Take the Orange Line to Downtown Crossing station or the Red Line to Park Street station and follow directions from above.
