Kids' Clubhouse, the indoor play space at the Atrium Mall at Chestnut Hill, has several toddler-sized climbing structures, funny mirrors, and other things to climb on and crawl through. It's very clean and right next to some enormous bathrooms. . Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
An added bonus: free indoor parking! The only money we spent was for lunch. Not bad for a toddler day out.
The Atrium Mall boasts trendy upscale shops for the ultimate in shopping. This fashionable centre, offers 4 levels featuring more than 35 specialty shops and 3 unique restaurants.
The Atrium also features a number of children's stores include Pottery Barn Kids, J. Crew Kid, Benetton Kids, GapKids and Baby Gap. Pottery Barn Kids is a nice quiet alternative to the playspace as they have great model kids' rooms set up with dream toys galore.

Playspace At Atrium Mall
Exceptionally clean & bright, well-situated with great bathrooms, water fountains, & lounge nearby. Fun characters & brightly colored.
Great for rest from shopping, but not a destination for fun. Cubbies for shoes, good amount of periphral seating for adults. Mirrors & game boards affixed to wall.
The fun creatures & playstructures are really hard- not hard foam, more like ceramic. There's a TV on PBS which is great if kid-friendly shows are on. When its busy, too many parents sit in the very comfy lounge area with wide screen TV while their kids wreak havoc. Older kids & active youger ones may get bored earlier. Be careful of the unpadded portion of the floor by the maintenance door.Great Place At The Right Time
As any place open to the public, the crowd can determine the impact. It is generally a really fun, safe place for all ages. I particularly like that the space is not in the middle of the mall. It is in an enclosed room, right off the elevator, with only one door in. Also provides vending with a variety of healthy and not so healthy snacks and drinks. We go when it's too hot or cold to be comfortable outdoors. Going during school hours makes it more tolerable for toddlers.RELATED LINKS | ↑ top |
