Zoar offers many programs designed for families. Learn to raft, kayak, canoe, rock climb, and more. Equipment rentals are also available seasonally.
White Water Rafting
Trips on the Deerfield River, Millers River and the Concord River in Mass. and West River in Vermont. Including Family Float and Family Rafting trips.
Kayaking
Zoar offer kayaking clinics for beginners to experts including programs specifically for kids and families.
Canoeing
Zoar Outdoor offers both solo and tandem novice canoeing lessons as well as canoeing clinics for intermediate and advanced canoe students.
Zip Line Canopy Tours
Zip line canopy tour leads adventurers on an aerial trek through the woods by means of 11 zip lines, 2 sky bridges and 3 rappels suspended in the trees in the northern Berkshires and connected through platforms that sit high above the forest floor.
Rock Climbing

Camping/Lodging
Camping at Zoar Outdoor is set in a wooded, wilderness environment off the beaten track abovethe Deerfield River Valley. Surrounded by 80 acres of wilderness hiking trails, it is not uncommon to see deer, hawks and owls or even an occasional bear in the area. Modern conveniences include hot showers and flush toilets.
The Hawk Mountain Lodge offers a year-round New England vacation experience just 2.5 hours from Boston.
Seasonal Rentals
Zoar Outdoor rents both single and double kayaks daily from May 1 through September 30.
Rent both sport road bikes and recreational bikes daily from our base in Charlemont, Massachusetts from May 1 to October 31st.
