Leadership
The Skating Club of Boston® is the third oldest skating club in the country, and a founding member of U.S. Figure Skating, the national governing body for the sport.

The Club has been a longstanding leader in American figure skating, with numerous Club members serving in various national positions within U.S. Figure Skating.

A variety of members have also represented the United States in the International Skating Union. On the ice, Club members have also been leaders, earning over 145 national championship titles, as well as numerous medals at the Olympic, world and various other international championships.

Community
In addition to its tradition of leadership, the Club is also a community of families, athletes and professionals united by their love of skating and a commitment to excellence in all facets of skating.

Sometimes referred to as The Boston Skating Club, the Club welcomes skaters of all ages, interested in all of the U.S. Figure Skating disciplines, at both the recreational and competitive level.

Programs
Today, the Club has more than 600 active memberships, and a diverse offering of programs including a high-performance training program, competitive synchronized skating and Theatre On Ice teams, and a junior activities leadership group for teens.

The Club’s Skating Academy operates learn to skate classes in 8 locations, and its annual carnival, Ice Chips, is the longest running ice show in the world.

Club skaters regularly top the podium at local, national, international, and Olympic competitions. The Club’s regular schedule includes sessions for learn-to-skate classes, public skating, low-level free skate, high performance free skate, synchronized skating, Theatre on Ice and therapeutic skating.

Some sessions have level restrictions, or require Club membership, and all skaters who take the ice are required to have a current U.S. Figure Skating Membership. The Club’s off-ice classes in strength training and dance are also open to non-members and may be scheduled directly through the providers.
