The Shubert Theatre, along with the Boch Center, join together to make Boch Citi Performing Arts Center. Built in 1910, it is fondly thought of as the Theater District's 'Little Princess.'
In the 1970's, the Shubert was close to closing its doors. In 1977, the Wang Center took over its management. It now hosts many musicals, performing arts organizations, and is home to the Boston Lyric Opera and the Handel & Haydn Society.
