DRAKE PLAYGROUND
3 Hazel Street, across from Plympton Elementary School

Plympton Elementary School's outdoor play area. Neighborhood park which includes children's play structure, basketball court, youth athletic field for baseball/softball, and water spray facility. Open year round, dawn to dusk, during non school hours

Spray park facility - Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. late June - late August

FITCH SPRAY PARK
14 Ash Street
Summer availability end of June through end of August.
Spray park facility - Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 - 5:00 p.m.


LAZAZZERO PLAYGROUND
7 Shore Road, corner of Lake St, beside Hardy Pond

Neighborhood park abutting Hardy Pond with lighted basketball court, water spray facility, and (2) little league baseball fields. Baseball fields are the home fields for Waltham Baseball League running programs spring/summer/fall months.

New Water Spray Park constructed in 2008. Park improvements including; fishing pier and boat ramp to Hard Pond, new children’s play structure, basketball court, perimeter walk way, site amenities, landscaping, drainage, and parking lot were opened in 2013 The Fishing Pier was dedicated to Patricia DiIeso. The Walk way was dedicated in September of 2014.

With the exception of little league use, and summer season of water park, all other facilities are open to the public dawn to dusk.

Spray park facility - Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday/Sunday 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. late June through late August


LOWELL FIELD
190 Grove St., corner of Willow Street

Community recreational facility for soccer, softball, basketball, tennis, walking path, water spray facility and parking areas. Master Plan Improvements occurred 1997 to 2002. Waltham's first water spray park opened in July of 2002.

MSGR. MCCABE/WARRENDALE PLAYGROUND
90 Charlotte Road, behind Fitzgerald Elementary School

Fitzgerald Elementary School's outdoor play area. Neighborhood park with (2) little league baseball fields, basketball court, (2) lighted tennis courts, and parking. Baseball fields are home fields for Waltham's Warrendale Little League during the spring/summer/fall months. The parks also includes a water spray park, (2) tennis courts, basketball court, Little League baseball field, batting cage and pitchers warming up area, baseball field improvements

MCDONALD PLAYGROUND
8 Cutter St., corner of Newton Street

Small neighborhood park with playground area, spray park facility and multi basketball courts. Major improvements to recreational facilities occurred from 2000-2003, with a new water spray park opened in 2003. Open year round, dawn to dusk

Spray park facility - Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. late June - late August

NIPPER MAHER PARK
65 Dartmouth Street, off South Street

Community recreational facility complete with lighted major league baseball field utilized by Waltham High School baseball teams, and adult baseball leagues. Area also has (3) little league fields, home fields for Waltham Baseball League during the spring/summer/fall months, playground area, lighted basketball court, (3) lighted tennis courts and parking areas & a new children’s play area with water spray elements.

Facilities open dawn to dusk, year round.
Tennis/Basketball courts are lit mid May through mid September
Spray park facility - Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. late June - late August


THOMPSON PLAYGROUND
95 Charles Street

Small neighborhood playground area with basketball court area, children's play structure and water spray facility. Water spray facility opened June 2005. Open Year round, dawn to dusk

Spray Park: June - Aug: Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Saturday's 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday's 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. late June - late August
