mass ski snowboard club photoSince 1969, the Massachusetts Ski and Snowboard Club has been taking young people to the mountains of Northern New England, where they can enjoy the fun, excitement and beauty of winter sports.

Who Can Join
The club is open to youngsters between the ages of 9 and 18. Of course, we encourage our members to join with their friends and/or their brothers and sisters. PARENTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME. Saturday buses stop in locations such as Canton, Westwood, Needham, Wellesley, Weston, Newton, Cambridge and Lexington. The club is always happy to add stops if a sufficient number of members from another area join the club.

How It Works
The club goes to the mountains every Saturday from December to March. There is an extra trip on Martin Luther King Day. Each trip includes transportation, lift tickets, and supervision. Optional lessons and equipment rentals are available on most trips. Each bus has 2-3 adults who supervise the bus trip. The supervisors are on duty at the ski area to maintain decorum, assign skiing partners, and assist the skiers if asked for help at the base. Supervisors rely on the cooperators of the ski area for skiing conditions and restrictions.

What It Costs
The cost of membership is $190 per year for the Lesson Division. Each weekly trip usually costs approximately $78. Trips to certain premium mountain resorts will cost slightly more.

What Members Get
Members can go skiing or riding at a major mountain resort every week during the winter.
* Each trip includes a lift ticket and transportation.
* Members are entitled to discounts at many ski and snowboard shops.
* Membership includes lessons in the Lesson Program.

Where Trips Start
Every Saturday buses stop in several locations including Canton, Westwood, Needham, Wellesley, Weston, Newton, Cambridge and Lexington. Other stops may be added if a sufficient number of members from another area sign up.

The Mountains
We go to a different mountain each week. In past years, we have gone to Killington, Sunday River, Okerno, Stratton, Loon, Sunapee, Bretton Woods, Waterville Valley and many more.
