Age Recommendation: Middle school, ages 10-15
Sessions: Students may attend one, two, or three weeks

Session 1: Writing Focus
Session 2: Speaking Focus
Session 3: Social Innovation Focus

What Students Do Each Week
Task Forces — Interactive group activities where students take on leadership roles to solve real problems. Example: Students role-play as U.S. Supreme Court justices and decide an actual case.

Speaking and Writing Games — Daily games and workshops build confidence alongside dedicated time to craft original speeches or articles. Example: An emotions exercise where students practice using tone and speaking style to convey different feelings.

Topic Deep Dives — Each day opens with an in-depth look at a current issue, a lively discussion, and a persuasive speech or article. Example: Exploring the effects of social media on mental health and brainstorming solutions together.

By the End of Each Week, Students Will Have:

- Completed at least one writing or speaking assignment defending their position on a current issue
- Participated in daily discussions on a different major current event each day
- Role-played as key decision makers through daily task force activities
- Debated and bonded with a group of motivated, engaged peers
