The camp allows children of all ability levels to participate in traditional summer camp activities in the care of experienced camp counselors and a professional medical staff.
It is the goal of Camp Casco to help campers shed their insecurities in a safe environment and forge new friendships with peers who share similar experiences.
This year, Camp Casco will take place August 24 - 28, 2015 at the YMCA Berkshire Outdoor Center in Becket, Massachusetts. Complimentary transportation to the campsite is available for all campers from a central location in Boston.
Medical professionals will be on-site at all times to administer regular medications, treat injuries, and provide medical attention if needed. Specialized all-terrain wheelchairs will be provided for children with limited mobility.
Activities will include swimming, canoeing, archery, arts and crafts, indoor rock climbing, campfires, a talent show, and photography lessons generously provided by Christian Pleva Images!
Additionally, this year’s camp theme will be Superheroes, so campers are welcome to join counselors in sporting their favorite superhero gear all week.
Eligible campers are childhood cancer patients or survivors between 7 - 17 years of age upon arriving at camp. Campers must have written approval from their physician and submit a completed application (available online at www.campcasco.org/attend ) to be considered. All questions may be directed to Erin Fletcher via email at [email protected], or by phone at 857-30-CASCO (22726).
Hope to see you there!!
