We are committed to equity and accessibility and offer financial aid to families who demonstrate need.
Staff
Our Staff is led by a strong leadership team with expertise in child development, health and
safety, curriculum development, family communication, and supporting positive social-emotional
growth in children.
The teaching team is a dynamic and diverse group of artists, dancers, athletes, musicians, and childcare specialists with skills in everything from printmaking to soccer, committed to building relationships with children, leading a range of engaging activities, and providing an overall fun, welcoming, supportive environment that allows children to explore their interests, make friends, learn new things, and have a great summer experience.
All staff are CPR/First Aid certified and participate in a rigorous orientation.
Curriculum
Outback curriculum is tailored to the interests of the children in the program and provides plenty
of opportunities for children to choose their own activities, flex their creativity, and spend time
with peers.
We offer several activity periods each day called “choices” and children get to choose their activities. Typical choice offerings include a mix of structured activities such as sports and games, ceramics, visual arts, performance arts, and the more care-free summer activities like playing in the sandbox, running through the sprinkler, reading, crafts, and more!
Weekly Beach Trips
In addition to exciting daily activities options, Outback will take weekly beach trips to Singing
Beach in Manchester-by-the-Sea, except for weeks 1 and 8, and offer a mix of other field trips
and on-site special events throughout the summer.
Outback beach trips are highly organized to ensure safety and fun for everyone, and were a
favorite part of Outback for many over the years!
Outbackers are closely supervised in the water and on the sand by our staff, including two certified lifeguards.
