Join us for an unforgettable evening with two brilliant authors.

Emily Franklin will be joined in conversation with Juliet Faithful at The Next Chapter Books and More on Thursday September 17, 2026 at 6:30PM.

Emily Franklin is the bestselling author of twenty-five books including The Lioness of Boston, based on the life of trailblazer Isabella Stewart Gardner, now in its eleventh printing and recently featured as a clue on Jeopardy!

Her fiction, poetry, essays, and photos have been published in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Kenyon Review, and The Journal of the American Medical Association, among many other places, as well as featured and read aloud on National Public Radio, long-listed for the London Sunday Times Short Story Award and named notable by the Association of Jewish Libraries.

Her latest novel is Love and Other Monsters, the untold origin story of Frankenstein told from the perspective Claire Clairmont, Mary Shelley’s forgotten stepsister who changed the course of literature forever.

Maggie O’Farrell’s Hamnet meets Jane Austen in this historical fiction based on the life of daring eighteen-year-old Claire Clairmont who in 1816 changed the course of literature forever.

But then-unlike her stepsister Mary Shelley-was forgotten, until now.

Juliet Faithfull is a Spanish-British-American writer who grew up in Brazil.

LIAR’S DICE, her first novel, was a winner of the Irish Writers Centre’s Novel Fair and a semifinalist for the James Jones First Novel Fellowship.

She was awarded a Pauline Scheer Fellowship by Grub Street’s Novel Incubator program and her short stories have been published in the Bellevue Revue and Urbanus Magazine.

An astonishing debut about an illiterate teenage girl in 1970s Brazil who is torn away from her twin sister-and who must learn what it means to fight for those she loves when all the odds are stacked against her.

This event is free-registration is required.

Books will be available for purchase.
