History of Hip-Hop and Lyricism is a 60-minute interactive workshop that dives deep into the rich history, cultural significance, and lyrical artistry of hip-hop.
Recommended for students grades 6-12, participants will explore how hip-hop emerged as a revolutionary art form, along with examining its roots, icons, and social impact.
They will also create and perform original lyrics that reflect their own voices, experiences, and creativity.
Parking & Accessibility:
Free parking lot next to the library with accessible ramp at the front entrance.
The Community Room is on the left upon entering.
Public WiFi available.
The Roxbury Branch Library is fully accessible, featuring a new elevator, a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking, and restrooms, and enhanced technology for the hearing impaired.
