The Asian American Ballet Project (AABP) presents its 4th annual concert, Once Upon Our Time, at the Roberts Theatre at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts on June 27th and 28th, 2026.Founded in 2022, the Asian American Ballet Project is the very first Asian American ballet company.
Our mission is to present AANHPI dancers on stage together in all Asian American productions.
We aim to tell stories from our unique perspectives and transform how audiences see Asian Americans in performance from unexpected to accepted.
This year's program, Once Upon Our Time, which includes past AABP audience favorites and world premieres, shines a light on the power of storytelling.
From fresh retellings of The Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella to the lesser-known legends of Mongolia and the Philippines, we honor the legends and folktales of our ancestors.
