The live game show experience based on the NAACP Image Award-winning book, “Historically Black Phrases: From ‘I Ain’t One Of Your Lil’ Friends’ to ‘Who All Gon’ Be There?,” is returning to Boston.Hosted by co-authors jarrett hill and Tre’vell Anderson, Historically Black Phrases Live!
is a high-energy battle of Black cultural knowledge open to all.

Contestants
Dart Adams — Boston's own hip-hop historian, journalist and author whose encyclopedic knowledge of Black music and culture has appeared everywhere from NPR and The Boston Globe to Andscape and Okayplayer.
If it happened in Black Boston, Dart was there — or wrote about it.
Darian Wilson — Public school educator, father and the Milwaukee-bred founder of Black People Know Things, a Black culture trivia and events company built on three pillars: competition, culture and community.
Copies of “Historically Black Phrases” will be available for purchase from our bookstore partner Frugal Bookstore and the authors will sign after the show.
