Framing Nature: Gardens and Imagination
Explore the garden as a space of human creativity and imagination in this sweeping new exhibition drawn from the MFA's global collection.'Framing Nature: Gardens and Imagination' brings together beloved favorites and previously unseen masterpieces, tracing striking similarities in how cultures across time and place have used art to express our relationship with the natural world.
Works on view span centuries and continents, from wall-sized tapestries and intricately detailed Chinese scrolls to modern and contemporary prints, drawings, photographs, and paintings.
Together they form an immersive journey through cultivated and wild landscapes, inviting visitors to reflect on how we relate to, shape, and find meaning in the world around us.
The exhibition coincides with the 50th anniversary of Art in Bloom, the MFA's beloved spring tradition, making this a perfect season to visit.
Timed-entry tickets are required for all visitors, including members.
Exhibition tickets include general admission to the Museum.
The exhibition is located in the Ann and Graham Gund Gallery (Gallery LG31).
