The Port Arts Festival features exciting performances from multiple bands, our live Mural Masters competition, delicious food and deserts, and fun playtime activities for the youth!The event also showcases local artists and businesses, allowing festival goers to shop from a diverse array of unique creations, as well as learning about the many opportunities offered in the Cambridge area.
Kids and adults alike will move to the rhythm through interactive dance classes hosted byJean Appolon Expressions and Soca Fusion respectively.
Community Art Center's Teen Public Art Crew paints the Port Ground Mural on Windsor Street itself, building on the national trend of establishing “neighborways” to increase physical safety in urban neighborhoods.
The day will include the organization's Mural Masters event, in which 4 teams, composed of youth from Community Art Center's Teen Program, will partner with lead artists to go head-to-head in a live mural painting competition.
Bouncy slides, facepainting, temporary tattoos, a giant Just Dance screen, and carnival-style games are just some of the many fun activities kids can participate in.
Food trucks will cater the event, with appearances by NorthEast of The Border, Frosty Ice Cream, and Richie's Italian Ice & Slush.
This artistic extravaganza was established on June 15, 2018 as an annual community-wide event.
It’s a celebration of the vibrancy of the Port community and of the families and neighbors who live here.
The Port has historically been one of the most culturally rich and diverse areas in Cambridge.
Port Arts Fest is an opportunity to interact with our community through art-making, activities, good music, and of course food!
