Sicily’s southeast is not only home to astounding Baroque architecture, but also renowned seafood and desserts.

Italy’s most historic dessert wine, Moscato di Noto, recalls Pollio, a famous dessert wine of Imperial Rome.

Pachino is the epicenter of Sicily’s most important red grapevine variety, Nero d’Avola, and its wines.

In addition, Frappato contributes lightness and freshness to Sicily’s only DOCG, Cerasuolo di Vittoria.

Frances Di Savino and Bill Nesto, authors of The World of Sicilian Wine, unlock the key to understanding the culture, wines, and cuisine of this vibrant land.
