The annual Taste of WGBH Food & Wine Festival returns October 10-13, 2019 at WGBH Studios in Brighton, MA.

The multi-day festival will feature chef tastings; cooking demos; specialty craft beer and wine; LIVE music; beautiful décor; chef competitions and more.

Thousands of guests are expected to join us for a weekend full of delicious festivities.

This is another great opportunity for students to give back to their community and volunteer during one of the largest food and wine festivals in New England, where variety truly is the spice of life.

Interested students should review the volunteer position descriptions below and email Volunteer Manager Jaime Reese at [email protected] if they’d like to lend a hand.

*Please note that volunteers should be comfortable standing for 4-6 hours.

Volunteers working with set-up and/or breakdown must be 16+, and volunteers working during the event must be 21+.

Please make sure interested students include the following information in their email response:
• Their full name (first and last name)
• Email address for confirmation and email reminder purposes
• Preferred activity (e.g. Brunch Bar 10/13)
• Preferred shift (if there are multiple)
• Prior related experience (e.g. volunteer work, customer service, TIPS certification, and food-related experience, etc.)

Wednesday, October 9: Chef’s Gala Set-Up Position: Set Volunteer Shift: 2-5pm
Position Description: Responsibilities of a Set Volunteer include setting up tables, steaming tablecloths, deploying materials to different vendor stations and placing signage around Calderwood Studio.

Set volunteers must be able to lift at least 10-15 pounds and be on their feet throughout their shift.

The Taste of WGBH Food & Wine Festival helps to support the great educational and cultural programming on WGBH, and we need your help to ensure this year’s festival is even bigger and better than ever!

We hope to work with your students in October!
