We’re excited to announce that Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is officially sprinkling its sweetness onto the neighborhood on Thursday, September 26.
They're churning out all your favorite flavors, including classic Vanilla and mind-blowing delicious creations like Sweet Potato Marshmallow Pie, Sour Cherry Creamsicle, and a Seaport exclusive flavor: Lemon Meringue Pie, featuring toasted meringue ice cream with chunks of white chocolate-covered homemade crunchy pie crust and swirls of tart lemon curd (in collaboration with Flour Bakery + Cafe).
Please join us in celebrating their grand opening this Thursday, when the shop will offer $1 scoops from 11:00AM-1:00PM.
Van Leeuwen is located in The Superette Courtyard at 70 Pier 4 Blvd., open Sunday–Thursday from 11:00AM–11:00PM and Friday–Saturday from 11:00AM–12:00AM.
About Van Leeuwen Ice Cream
Van Leeuwen began as a yellow scoop truck on the streets of NYC in 2008 by Ben Van Leeuwen, Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill, who were on a mission to make good ice cream from good ingredients that makes you feel good.
Their French-style ice cream (made with more than double the amount of egg yolks as standard ice cream) quickly gained a loyal following. Van Leeuwen has since expanded and has over 50 scoop shops in New York, California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, DC, Colorado, Connecticut and Texas.
