This Women’s History Month, join us for a month-long, farm-grown celebration of one of history’s most iconic female chefs, Julia Child, and her cuisine.Julia Child knew the five mother sauces are an essential part of any chef’s expertise, and she worked hard to master each one.
The mother sauces — Béchamel, Velouté, Espagnole, Hollandaise, and Tomate – are the starting point for many classic French dishes.
In this hands-on class, Chef Thi will introduce you to the five mother sauces and pair each one with a simple dish to demonstrate how the sauce can be either the star or the starting point for culinary greatness.
