What is PKD?
Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is one of the most common, life-threatening genetic diseases, affecting generations of families and often leading to dialysis and kidney transplants.
Why Walk?
The Boston Walk for PKD is a community-driven event that raises funds and awareness for PKD research.
With the help of volunteers, walkers, and supporters, we strive to find treatments and a cure for this devastating disease.
Did you know that one in 500 people has PKD, yet it remains relatively unknown?
Together, we can change that.
Event Highlights:
• Educational Activities: Informative booths to learn more about PKD.
• Entertainment: Enjoy a live DJ, refreshments from local vendors, and fun activities for kids.
• Community Spirit: Share stories and support one another as we walk for a cure.
• Prizes and Drawings: Exciting raffle prizes to be won.
How to Participate:
• Pre-Register: Form a team or register as an individual.
• Fundraise or Donate: 100% of donations go directly to PKD research.
• Bring the Family: Kid and pet-friendly activities for everyone to enjoy.
Event Schedule:
• 9:30 AM: Registration opens
• 10:30 AM: Walk begins
This event is FREE, but your donations and fundraising efforts are greatly appreciated.
Every step you take helps bring us closer to a cure.
Let's walk together and make a difference!
