Helping Children Cope is a fun, 2 hour art/story format for children aged 4-10 with a loved one facing cancer. Held in libraries, its focus is on coping with emotions and supporting conversations between caring adults and kids.

Do you know of a family struggling with cancer?

A diagnosis of cancer in the family affects every member. Yet children whose loved ones face this illness are often unsure how to express their feelings. And their caregivers need guidance as they discuss the topic with youngsters.

Helping Children Cope with a Loved One’s Cancer (HCC)** is a free, small group program in Weymouth and Hingham that engages both adults and children (aged 4-10) in a 2-hour story and art session.

Families will take home resource materials so they can continue supportive conversations at home. Call 781-624-8919 for information, a schedule and locations, or to register.
