AI in Action 2026: Business Summit is a full-day gathering designed for business leaders, innovators, and practitioners who want to better understand how AI is being applied in the real world.Hosted at the Roux Institute in Portland, Maine on Friday, June 5, 2026, the summit brings together attendees from across Northern New England and beyond for a day of applied learning, practical insight, and meaningful connection.
The program is built for organizations at different stages of AI adoption, whether they are just beginning to explore AI or looking to scale existing efforts.
Attendees can expect keynote talks from nationally recognized voices, discussions on AI in society and AI in industry, and real-world examples of how AI is being used across sectors such as life sciences and health, climate and sustainability, municipal innovation, and research and development.
In addition to the main-stage program, the summit features afternoon tracks and workshops that let participants choose the learning path most relevant to them.
Options include sector-focused sessions, research lightning talks, and deeper hands-on experiences such as advanced prompt engineering and an IdeaJam focused on AI integration through design thinking.
The day also includes a Startup Lounge, Student Showcase, exhibitor and sponsor tables, and a closing reception, making it as much about networking and collaboration as it is about content
