nec december 2019 free holiday concerts photoNew England Conservatory students and faculty are offering an array of free holiday concerts this December!

Many of these free performances are part of NEC's Community Performances and Partnerships fellowship program, which offers performances to the Boston community in a variety of venues and partnerships and provides students with integral skills for a 21st century music career.

Some take place in non-traditional venues like libraries or the Boston Public Market, and some are in Jordan Hall. Either way, what a fun holiday present for NEC to offer all Bostonians!

Holiday Pops at Mechanics Hall
Wed, December 4, 2019 | 12:00pm

Tickets: Free | This concert does not require a ticket. Unreserved seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the concert's start time.

Family-friendly choral and winds concert featuring popular holiday tunes, seasonal sweaters, Santa hats, and a singalong. Featuring NEC Chamber Singers and Symphonic Winds with Navy Band Northeast.

An Evening of Lessons and Carols

Conductors Erica J. Washburn and Jonathan Richter lead An Evening of Lessons and Carols featuring the NEC Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, and Brass Ensemble with special guests Tourjee Singers, Back Bay Ringers, and Thomas Handel, organ.

A cheerful holiday concert from NEC's Community Performances and Partnerships fellows. This performance is part of the Never Too Late Series at the Boston Public Library. The Never Too Late Group is one of the countryís oldest, continuously running groups for seniors. For over 60 years, it has provided a setting for seniors to gather together and enjoy with their friends a wide variety of unique programs that are entertaining and culturally enriching.
