The Gilman Square Arts & Music Festival returns to Somerville on 9/12, bringing more than 3,000 attendees together for a neighborhood celebration of art, music, and community.

The festival features local artists and artisans, food vendors, acrobatic performances, live music, and activities for kids and adults throughout the day.

Due to construction on Pearl Street, this year's event moves to Ed Leathers Park, Skilton Ave, and Walnut Street.

The festival is produced by volunteers from the Gilman Square Neighborhood Council and the Somerville Arts and Culture Division, with support from the Mass Cultural Council and local business sponsors. Artists and artisans interested in participating are encouraged to reach out.

** Getting There**

Parking is very limited in Gilman Square.
Best options: walk, bike, or take the MBTA Green E (Medford Branch) to the Gilman Square stop—the festival is just across the tracks.

** Community & Impact**

G’25 not only entertains but also reinforces the neighborhood’s sense of community and culture.

Its evolution from a small gathering to a celebrated festival reflects a commitment to civic connection, diversity, and accessibility.

Sponsored by the Somerville Arts Council through an LCC grant, and supported by generous local businesses, this event brings neighbors—and newcomers—together in joyful, creative celebration
