Mass Audubon's Joppa Flats Education Center in Newburyport will be brimming with indoor and outdoor activity on Saturday, November 15, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, with its Nature’s Harvest Free-for-All.

Come to Joppa Flats to see how Nature contributes her bountiful riches to this festive season.

Tree and bird walks outdoors, fun science experiments, take-home crafts, family presentations and family presentations at 11am & 1pm. Homemade baked goods and beverages will be sold onsite.

Sample delicious homemade treats made with local beach plums and cranberries.

Inhale the aroma of white pine tea or a bayberry candle.

Boldly bite into a seaweed salad or nibble on some pickleweed.

Ages seven and up will test their skills at tree identification, dissect native and invasive fruits and compare, and go for a guided bird walk.

Ages two to six will have puppets, take-home crafts, and guided science games about trees, birds, and seashells.

Indoors and out.

Family presentations will be offered at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm and the audience is encouraged to participate.

Young volunteers will be requested to assist.

The free activities for adults and families will be held all day, rain or shine.

Preregistration is not required.

All ages are welcome.
