Primitive Fire Making and Cordage

Come explore ancient through modern methods of fire making including flint and steel, making char cloth and other fire starters with Stephen DeFlorio.

Explore many friction fire methods such as bow drill, hand drill, Egypt fire drill, fire saw, fire plow, etc. Try the fire challenge.

We will then explore hands-on cordage making (rope from plant fibers) learning the history, how to harvest and prepare fibers and of course making your own.

Perhaps the most important ancient skill!
