As part of a day long celebration of eagles at several sites in Amesbury and Newburyport, come to Joppa Flats Education Center to learn more about these magnificent animals that visit and live in our area, as well as other amazing raptors such as Snowy Owls and why our local habitat is so important for them.

Choose from a number of fun family activities, arts and crafts and games for a variety of ages with a special program featuring of live hawks from Mass Audubon’s Drumlin Farm.

From Rt. I-95: Take exit 57 (Rt. 113, W Newbury/Newburyport). At the end of the exit ramp take Rt. 113 east. Follow Rt.113 and Rt. 1A for 3.8 miles through Newburyport to Rolfe's Lane in Newbury. At the traffic light at Rolfe’s Lane, take a left (heading north). Drive 0.6 miles to the end of Rolfe’s Lane and take a right. The sanctuary is 0.1 miles ahead on the left.
