Join Mass Audubon and the South Shore Bird Club for this 33rd annual event where we celebrate spring and the stunning property we call Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary.

Whether you’re interested in birds, bugs, plants, or just being outdoors, we'll have fun for all ages at this free day of discovery.

Drop in any time and stroll the trails at your own pace.

Visit stations along your walk where skilled naturalists from both South Shore Sanctuaries and the South Shore Bird Club will offer hands-on educational activities that highlight various aspects of the sanctuary - from its inhabitants and history to the myriad reasons this property is so important and special.

Activities will include watching osprey on their nesting platform through a spotting scope; using sweep nets to find katydids and grasshoppers; learning about grassland nesting birds such as bobolink and American kestrel; searching for water insects in the pond; and lots more.

Bring your family and friends for a day of celebration, education, and fun!

Preregistration is not required and you may drop in at any time.

One or two hours should allow you time to visit every station, but it will be worth your while no matter how much time you have.

There is no charge to attend, but donations are appreciated.

$5 per person or $20 per family is suggested.

We hope you’ll join us and help us introduce the wonder and love of nature to people of all ages.
