Did you know dragonflies and damselflies live most of their lives underwater?

How do you tell the difference between a dragonfly and damselfly?

Can dragonflies fly backwards?

Come learn about these fascinating and efficient predators!

This program begins in the museum's auditorium with an investigation of native dragonfly and damselfly specimens, a story and a dragonfly craft.

We then go on a short guided hike around Trailside's pond to look for dragonflies and damselflies followed by a hands-on investigation of dragonfly and damselfly larva that live in the pond.

Please wear sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing.

Be prepared for a short walk outside.
