Join us for a sensory-friendly beginner bird walk!This program offers a reduced number of guests and quieter sensory-friendly environment.
Any family that would benefit from a limited capacity visit is welcome.
Now that the fields and woods are blooming, birds are busy starting to raise their families.
The open fields of the farm are a great place to observe birds as they build nests, hunt for insects, and lay their eggs.
Bring your binoculars (we will also have some to borrow), and let’s see what birds we can find!
After the hike, we will closely examine some bird nests and feathers and participate in a bird-related fun activity.
Resources available for your visit include a limited number of sensory kits.
We strongly encourage participants to bring anything they expect to need.
Minimum of 8 registrations required for program to take place.
Please note, although we love our four-legged friends, dogs are not allowed at Powisset Farm.
