Join Boston Harbor Islands National & State Park for a group camping experience on Peddocks Island!

Explore nighttime adaptations of the park after sunset over Boston, learn how to use a telescope, admire the cosmos, learn about the the moon phases and changing tides, tell stories around a campfire, join a solar system night walk around the islands, and enjoy an overnight excursion to on the second largest island in Boston Harbor!

Tickets include:

• Roundtrip ferry ride from the Seaport to Peddocks Island

• Camping site for one night in the group camping area

• Evening ranger-led programs

• Group s'mores!

What to bring: Please bring everything necessary for a backcountry camping experience including:

• Tent(s)

• Blankets, pillows, camping pads

• Charcoal & a camping stove if you have one.

Please note, any propane must be camping-size (16oz or less - no full-sized tanks permitted on the ferry).

• Cooking & eating utensils as well as plates or bowls

• Food & beverages to last your entire trip.

Please note that *NO ALCOHOL* is permitted on the island.

There is potable water to refill water bottles.

• Trash bags.

Peddocks Island is carry on, carry off, meaning you must bring all trash back to the mainland with you on Sunday.

• Outdoor clothing and gear
Bug spray, sunscreen, hat, & sunglasses

• *Optional*: Binoculars, telescopes, cameras, swimsuit & towel, and anything else you'd like to bring to enhance your experience!

• No pets of any variety allowed - no exceptions.

Directions & Parking
Plan to arrive to 200 Seaport Blvd at 10:15 am on Saturday (see photo here).

Look for Bay State Cruises signs and the Boston Harbor Now staff member who will check you in using the last name on your reservation.

The ferry will board beginning at 10:30am and depart promptly at 11:00 am.

No refunds will be issued if you miss the boat.

Parking: Public transportation or ride share is highly encouraged, but there are numerous parking garages in the area.

For the best rate, we recommend using the Spot Hero app or choosing the Atlantic Wharf garage ($24 - 15 minute walk to the dock).

Please plan ahead!

Ferry departs Peddocks promptly at 11:00 am on Sunday and returns to 200 Seaport Blvd.

Itinerary
Saturday

• 10:15am: Arrive at dock for check in with Boston Harbor Now staff
• 10:30am: Boarding
• 11:00am: Ferry departs for Peddocks Island
• 11:45am: Ferry arrives at Peddocks Island
• 7:00pm: Guided program begins
• 10:00pm: Program ends

Sunday

• 10:30am: Meet at Peddocks Island dock to board return ferry to Boston
• 11:00am: Ferry departs Peddocks Island for Boston
• 11:45am: Estimated arrival back in Boston
