Get back to nature and back to basics at a fun, educational, essential wilderness skills workshop.

This family-friendly program for all ages will increase your confidence in reading and using the characters and squiggly lines on maps, ranging from Trustees property maps to USGS Topo maps, and teaching your map to “speak compass” when you’re in the wilderness.

We’ll practice during a leisurely walk through the woods, so wear shoes appropriate for hiking on rocky, uneven and possibly muddy terrain.

Your guide will be Trustees Ranger Bob, a naturalist, local scoutmaster, and friendly guide devoted to sharing the wonders of the outdoors.
