Looking to head out and explore the outdoors this weekend? You can take a ferry to Spectacle Island to pend some time on the beach, hike the North Drumlin, and enjoy panoramic views of Boston on your trip.

Spectacle Island is accessible by public ferry through Columbus Day. (please note: currently Georges, Peddocks, Lovells, Grape, and Bumpkin Islands are accessible by recreational vessel only.)
Bring a beach towel and swimsuits, or a pack a picnic and comfortable walking shoes to enjoy a fun day on the Boston Harbor Islands. There are a number of scenic trails to walk around the island, as well as some benches to rest and enjoy the breezes and views; a tent with picnic tables, and a pavilion that overlooks the harbor.
Stop by the visitor's center for a spell and take in the views from comfortable green adirondack chairs, or from the air-conditioned lobby. Restrooms are open, however there are no food options available on the island.
