The fin.
was formed in 2012 by Uchino (vocals, guitar, and synthesizer) and Nakazawa (bass and synthesizer).
Uchino serves as the creative force behind the band’s music, handling songwriting, recording, mixing, and production.
His silky, smooth voice—with a distinctive, floating quality—creates a dreamy and immersive musical experience.
The band’s style is rooted in indie and psychedelic pop, infused with elements of soul, funk, and jazz, resulting in a soft, mellow sound that evokes a sense of peace.

has released several albums and EPs, including their debut album, Days With Uncertainty (2014), recorded, mixed, and produced by Uchino; their second album, There (2018), coproduced by Bradley Spence (Jamiroquai, Radiohead, alt-J); their EP, Wash Away (2019), coproduced by Bradley Spence and Jake Miller (Björk, Arca); and their third album, Outer Ego (2021), entirely recorded, mixed, and produced by Uchino.
