The Tall Ships are returning to Boston Harbor for Sail Boston 2026, part of Sail250 - a national maritime celebration marking America's 250th anniversary! Ships from more than 25 countries will dock along the waterfront at the Seaport District, Charlestown Navy Yard, Fish Pier, and Fan Pier for a full week of free family-friendly events.
Watch the Grand Parade of Sail on July 11 as the fleet arrives in flotillas from Broad Sound into the main channel, turning at Charlestown. Best viewing spots: Castle Island, the Seaport District, East Boston, the North End, and Charlestown.
Event Highlights
• Join us for fireworks at Fan Pier on Saturday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 15 at 9:15 p.m.
• Watch the Crew & Cadet Street Parade on Monday, July 13 at 12:00 p.m.
• Enjoy live music and entertainment at our Sail Boston Festival from Saturday, July 11 – Wed., July 15
*Fireworks will launch from Boston's Fan Pier. Watch the fireworks from Fan Pier, Castle Island, the Seaport District, East Boston, the North End, and Charlestown.

Sail250 will entertain its younger audience with educational programs focusing on US and international maritime history. Cadets and crew members will be available to educate children of all ages of their personal experiences at sea, home countries and more.

- The MBTA is offering paid shuttle services to & from various Tall Ship locations. The $5 Shuttles to Ships pass will allow unlimited use of MBTA’s Sail Boston express shuttles that take you from JFK/Umass to Castle Island on June 17, and from Sullivan to Charlestown Navy Yard from June 17-22.
- The $15 Day Sailor Pass includes those same shuttles, plus unlimited bus and subway travel for one 24-hour period during Sail Boston. The $25 Commodore Pass provides access to all Sail Boston Express shuttles, along with unlimited travel on the bus and subway for the entire event.
