LexFUN! is gearing up for another award-winning children consignment sale on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Families from all around are invited to turn their clutter into cash, shop great deals for kids clothes and toys, and volunteer at the event.

If you want to be one of the first people in the door, secure the very best items at the very best prices, and bypass the general check out line altogether, simply volunteer!

Anyone volunteering 2 ½ hours is invited to shop the exclusive Volunteer Sale, on Saturday at 8:00 am.

“My volunteering hours went by so fast.

There are jobs for those who like to stay active like helping people who are dropping off donations, putting items on tables and racks, organizing, tagging clothes.

It’s actually a really fun time.

Plus, being able to shop at the presale allowed me to grab everything on my list quickly and easily!” Jessie, Lexington Resident

Thousands of high quality, gently used baby and kids items will be up for grabs.

Everything from children’s clothes size 0-12 yrs, toys large and small, baby gear, to bikes and outdoor sports gear, can be found - all at discounted prices.

The sale is like a pop-up department store, with items displayed in sections, on racks and tagged electronically, with major credit cards accepted.

A truly organized affair!

Consigning your items is easy with an online tagging system to create your own barcode price tags.

With sales of over $79,000 in 2023, there is money to be made as a seller AND you can avoid the meet-up hassle AND ensure your items can be used and enjoyed by other families!

Sellers earn 50% of the items sold and the balance goes to our LexFUND!

Community Fund, helping local families in need by providing monetary donations in times of crisis, granting Preschool Scholarships, and supporting Community Initiatives.

Items that are not sold are donated to charities that need these items.

The tagging deadline is April 16th, Items are dropped off on April 19th and then volunteers take over from there.

“I love this sale!

With the tagging technology it’s super easy to consign.

I always cross my fingers that I’ll make as much money as I spend there...

there is so much kids stuff to choose from.

When my kids were babies I purchased many clothes.

As they have grown older I ended up getting tons of books, toys, snow gear.” Liz, Waltham Resident

Donations are also gratefully accepted, no tagging required!

Simply drop off your items during our donation drive prior to the sale, the details of which will be updated on our website this winter.

Feel good that 100% of the proceeds go to local families in need.

Donations are tax deductible.

Any items remaining are donated to local charities, including Cradles to Crayons helping even more children.

TIPS↑ top

  • So how do you shop a Consignment Sale and score some big time baby bargains? Here are some tips from some of LexFUN!’s well-seasoned shoppers:

  • • Go early and have time to spare – With thousands of clothes, toys and equipment to choose from, go to the Sale early and give yourself extra time to shop. Slow down and look through all the racks.

  • • Know what you need – Go through your children’s closets and drawers beforehand and make a list of what’s needed. Think about seasonal needs and put sizes right on your list (e.g., Katie – spring clothes, size 6 mos; winter clothes, size 12 mos, Nicky – spring clothes, size 6, winter clothes size 7, boots size 2)

  • • Plan which Sale rooms you’ll shop first –Clothing and toys are in one building and baby gear, strollers, bikes and wagons are in another building. So go to the building with what you need the most first. The best baby gear items go fast, so go there first if that’s on your list.

  • • Leave the kids at home – Most shoppers will find shopping more enjoyable if they leave the little ones at home. Also, strollers aren’t allowed on the selling floor.

  • • Bring a friend – Shopping is more fun with a friend!
