What’s happening all week:

• Special themed in-building programming, including a scavenger hunt, biofacts, and hands-on activities in the Exploration Station
• A brand-new film premiering in the Simons Theatre: Penguins: A Love Story
• Winter treats, outdoor games, and cozy igloos on the plaza
• Whale Tales, an interactive, light-up right whale tail sculpture on the plaza as part of Boston’s

WINTERACTIVE public art experience
• And more!

Tickets are available on our website, and New England residents receive $5 off standard Aquarium admission!

Tropical Caribbean Reef
If you haven’t seen it lately, the new, colorful, bustling tropical Caribbean reef inside our four-story Giant Ocean Tank is where our famous 560-pound green sea turtle, Myrtle, lives alongside new fish species such as midnight parrotfish, trumpet fish, guitarfish as well as hundreds of other colorful reef fish.

And, we always have our lively – and noisy - penguin feedings every day with penguin species from Africa, Australia and South America Penguins can live in warm places so long as they have access to cooler water.

Shark and Ray Touch Tank
Always a thrill at the Aquarium is the Trust Family Foundation Shark and Ray Touch Tank where visitors stroke the backs of small sharks and sting rays in a tropical mangrove pool.

Of course, the Aquarium has cold water species as well.

Fur Seals & Sea Lions
The New Balance Marine Mammal Center hosts daily feedings of the fur seals and sea lions, and our Turtle Rescue Team interactive exhibit features the efforts of the Aquarium’s dedicated marine animal rescue staff, caring for record numbers of cold-stunned and endangered sea turtles that wash ashore and need life-saving, long term care every winter.

Over the February School Vacation Weeks, the Aquarium will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Visit www.neaq.org for more details or to buy tickets. Call 617-973-5200 for more information.
