summer solstice celebration old manse photoIn partnership with the Trustees of Reservations/The Old Manse, Minuteman National Historic Park, OARS, and SuAsCo Wild and Scenic River Stewardship Council, we celebrate the longest day of the year as the capstone event to Riverfest weekend -- see you Sunday, June 23, 2019!

The celebraton includes:

Cardboard Boat Race Challenge - 3-5:30pm:
Participants are challenged to design, construct and race a boat made of cardboard across a body of water (about 25 yards). The boat needs to not only float, but also carry the weight of 2 people. Prizes awarded to: Fastest Boat in each division; Best Sinking; Best River Habitat Design. Register to participate or watch some videos of last year's action!

Picnic Concert, 6-9pm:
Set up your blanket and picnic in the Old Manse orchard and enjoy music by a local band/singing group. S'mores available at the Solstice Fire pit!

Singing on The Old North Bridge, 8-9pm:
Join Voices for the Earth in song on the Old North Bridge -- or paddle your canoe/kayak in the Concord River below. Either way, a memorable way to start the Summer.
