The Fire & Ice Festival offers fun free daytime and evening activities and attractions that will keep you happily frolicking in the cold including an ice labyrinth created by Ice Effects, a beautifully carved ice bar serving hot seasonal favorites, free samples of chowder from Legal Seafood and food trucks, kids dance parties led by Kids Really Rock and performances featuring Boston’s finest fire art performers curated by the American Repertory Theater.
Music and entertainment will be provided throughout the three day Fire & Ice Festival.
A first-of-its-kind outdoor interactive space in Boston, The Lawn on D is an experimental event landscape that brings together different communities, audiences and area residents featuring innovative programming and events in the epicenter of the Innovation District and South Boston neighborhood.
The Lawn on D is owned and operated by the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA).
Please note, evening fire performances and Legal Seafood will not be present on December 29, 2014.
Bar opens at noon and closes at 8:00 pm
Cash bar only, serving hot beverages including hot cocoa and coffee and wine and beer
Legal Sea Foods will be offering samples of free chowder from 6pm to 8pm from 12/27 –
12/28; will not be available 12/29
Featured food trucks include Stoked Pizza and The Taco Truck; additional food trucks to be announced soon.

The Lawn on D, 420 D Street
The Lawn on D is located on D Street between Summer Street and Claflin Street,
adjacent to the BCEC, south of the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel.
The Lawn on D is located a short walking distance from the World Trade Center Station on the Silver Line and the South Station or Broadway stops on the Red Line. There is also a Hubway bike station in front of the BCEC on Summer Street. Depending on BCEC event calendars, BCEC parking may be available during events at The Lawn on D.
