A free, family-friendly annual halloween event held at NewTV, Newton's community media center.

The event includes various kid-friendly activities such as pumpkin decorating and face painting. The highlight is the spooky scavenger hunt.

NewTV's third annual House of Haunts is coming on Thursday, October 29 from 4-7pm.

Don't miss this free family-friendly Halloween event featuring a spooky scavenger hunt, killer red carpet, costume parade, face painting, pumpkin decorating and more!

Be sure your child comes in costume to take pictures on the killer red carpet and enjoy the festivities.

There will be a costume parade at the end of the evening.

Treats will also be available, along with some healthier options.

NewTV is located at 23 Needham Street in Newton Highlands. The facility is at the top of the hill on a private road called Easy Street, which runs off Needham Street between National Lumber and National Tire & Battery.

From points North:
From Newton Centre and points North, take Centre Street past Route 9/Boylston Street, onto Winchester Street, then go right at the traffic signal, onto Needham Street. Easy Street is the first right past National Lumber.

From points South and West:
From 128 North or South, take the Needham Street Exit 19A and follow Needham Street North past the Avalon Apartments. Easy Street is the first left past National Tire and Battery.
