The Fireworks are scheduled for July 4th, 2023 approximately 9:15 p.m. The Harbor Illumination will begin at 9:00 p.m. and 15 minutes later we will LIGHT THE FUSE ON THIS YEAR’S EDITION OF FIREWORKS FOREVER!

The Harbor Illumination is scheduled to start at 9:00 PM when flares are lit all around the perimeter of the harbor, creating a magnificent ring of light that sets the stage for the main event: FIREWORKS!

At 9:15 PM the fireworks are launched off a barge at the mouth of Marblehead Harbor.

The best vantage points lay between Clark Landing and Fort Sewall; or of course, from the harbor itself if you plan to come via boat.

Sunset on July 4th is at 8:24 PM.

High tide on July 4th is at 12:39 PM and low tide is at 6:31 PM, so please take the falling tide into consideration when anchoring for the fireworks in the afternoon.

The US Coast Guard and Marblehead Harbormaster have established a safety perimeter around the fireworks barge, so use caution when entering or leaving Marblehead harbor during the Fourth and avoid the safety zone that will be marked by four orange marker buoys.

In addition, current plans indicate that the Festival of Arts Street Festival will take place on July Fourth from noon to five P.M. thus securing Washington Street between Washington Square and Market Square (Old Town House).
