The “Pumpkin Patch” began as a service project of Carter Memorial United Methodist Church in 1999. The Pumpkin Patch is staffed by over 80 members and friends of Carter who together volunteer over 600 hours each year. The Patch will be open until the end of October. Please come by!

Hours
Sunday through Friday: 12:00 to 6:00
Saturday: 9:00 to 6:00

Organizations we support

100% of the net proceeds from the Pumpkin Patch go to service and charitable organizations. The pumpkins come from a cooperative farm affiliated with the Navajo Nation. The remaining net proceeds go to local, national, and international service and charitable organizations and programs. In the last six years, the Pumpkin Patch has returned over $180,000 to organizations and programs such as:

Local Pumpkin Patch Scholarships (Needham area), Bread of Life (Needham), Gift of Warmth (Needham), Needham Community Council, Rosie’s Place (Boston), Hattie B. Cooper Community Center (Roxbury), Ecclesia Ministries (Boston), Greater Boston Food Bank, Cradles to Crayons (Boston), Guiding Eyes for the Blind (Eastern MA region)
National

Disaster relief (participation and funding): Hurricane Sandy recovery (New Jersey), Hurricane Katrina recovery (New Orleans, LA), flood recovery (Endicott, NY); home construction/repair: (Johns Island, SC and Cleveland, OH); Salem Economic Ministries (Maine); Navajo Nation (New Mexico)

International
United Methodist Commission on Relief (global), Imagine No Malaria (Africa, global), school construction (Jamaica), support for local initiatives in Haiti and Nicaragua
