Public ferry service to Peddocks Island is NOW available from Hingham Thursday - Sunday, weekly. Explore our second largest island in the park, hike miles of backcountry trails, and learn about its many cultural & historic resources.
One of the largest of the Boston Harbor Islands, Peddocks Island is both beautiful, rich in history and off the beaten path. The Island once was home to Native Americans, militiamen, prisoners of war, and farmers.
Today some private residents still call the island home. Historic structures, such as Fort Andrews, built at the start of the 1900’s, along with the restored WWII-era Chapel, reside at this location.
Please note:
There is a possibility of some boats being sold out, so advance reservations are strongly recommended.
Tickets are open the general public on a first-come, first-served basis; if a particular time is not listed, that means it is unavailable or sold out.
**Vessel capacity to Peddocks Island from Hingham this season is very limited; also, please note that there is no direct service this year from Boston/Long Wharf to Peddocks Island. (Some may choose to take the MBTA Ferry from Boston to Hingham first, in order to catch the ferry to Peddocks.
Please note that all Peddocks Island tickets require you to choose a date and time of departure from Hingham, and a date and time of return from Peddocks.
