Southie Film Festival
South Boston is rolling out the red carpet for a brand-new community event! The first-ever Southie Film Festival arrives on Saturday, March 7, 2026, bringing a full afternoon and evening of local, independent film to the neighborhood.
Hosted at Seapoint Bar & Grille (367 E 8th Street), this laid-back, in-person festival will spotlight talented Boston-area filmmakers from 3:00pm to 10:00pm.
The day features thoughtfully curated film blocks, with cocktail hours woven in between - perfect for grabbing a drink, chatting about your favorite shorts, and connecting with the creatives behind the camera.
An All-Day Pass is just $20, giving film fans access to the entire lineup. Stop in for a single block, settle in for the full program, or take a break and mingle during cocktail hour - it’s designed to be flexible and fun.
As a first-year festival, organizers are promising high energy, a lively crowd, raffles, and - most importantly - an exciting showcase of local storytelling talent. If you love discovering homegrown creativity and supporting Boston’s arts scene, this is one to add to your calendar.
