Step back to 1775 at the Battle of Gloucester Reenactment, a two-day commemorative event at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester.Hundreds of costumed reenactors bring to life one of the Revolutionary War's early coastal confrontations, when American militia successfully repelled a British naval raid led by Captain John Linzee of the HMS Falcon.

Site open 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday; 9 AM to 4 PM on Sunday Where: Stage Fort Park, Gloucester, MA (Cressy Beach and surrounding grounds)
Schedule (same both days):
10 AM - Morning Battle Reenactment: The maritime sequence plays out on Cressy Beach, with ships firing in the harbor and American militia defending the shore.
2 PM - Afternoon Battle Reenactment: British soldiers land and push inland to Stage Fort Park, where the battle concludes with an American victory.
All Day (except during battles): Explore a Revolutionary War encampment, browse 18th century marketplace stalls, and meet historical interpreters portraying Gloucester townspeople of 1775.
Lectures are also planned at the Visitors Center each day.
The reenactment events will bring to life the historic Battle of Gloucester through battle reenactments, civilian programs and more on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21 at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester.
